The Olive Black Marble Vessel Sink is a single-piece, above-counter bathroom basin hand-carved from one solid block of 100% natural marble. It measures 23.6 × 15.7 inches (600 × 400 mm) and stands 5.9 inches (150 mm) tall, with a soft matte honed finish, a stadium-oval silhouette, and one centered 1.75-inch (45 mm) drain opening. It is built for vessel-style installation on bathroom vanities.

Every sink is shaped from a single quarried block rather than assembled from parts, so the bowl, walls, and rounded rim are one continuous mass of stone. The interior measures 21.6 × 13.7 inches (550 × 350 mm) with a generous 4.5-inch (115 mm) basin depth that contains splashing during daily use, while walls of roughly 25 mm (±2) give the piece its substantial, sculptural weight. Across the deep charcoal-black field run soft white-to-gray veins, and many blocks carry warm, olive-toned mineral pockets that give this variety its name. No two pieces are ever identical.

Four things that define this basin.

Olive Black marble oval vessel sink spec graphic, 60 by 40cm carved from a single solid block with a matte honed finish.

This sink is solid natural stone through and through — not a stone veneer over a composite core, and not cast resin made to mimic marble. It is shaped with a one-piece carved design, meaning the entire basin is worked from a single solid block, so the rim, walls, and bowl form one uninterrupted piece with no seams or joints to weaken over time. The surface carries genuine natural marble veins, the soft white-gray lines and clouding that map how the stone formed underground. And it is finished with a matte honed surface — a low-sheen, non-reflective texture that downplays water spots and fingerprints far better than a high-gloss polish, while giving the deep charcoal tone a calm, contemporary depth. Together these four traits — solid stone, single block, natural veining, and honed matte finish — are what separate a real carved-marble basin from a mass-produced lookalike.

Carved from a single block — and honestly finished.
Twenty Olive Black marble oval vessel sinks at varied angles, showing the natural veining and color variation of each piece.

The twenty basins shown above are all the same model, photographed from many angles. We arrange them this way so you can see, before you buy, the true range of what a 100% natural stone product looks like in real life.

Here is the part we will never gloss over. Because each sink is cut from a raw marble block by a one-piece carving machine, natural pits, pinholes, and hairline fissures are normal characteristics of the stone — not flaws. Once the machine finishes carving, our craftsmen fill and stabilize those natural pits and fissures, and only then is the whole surface ground down to its smooth, matte honed finish. As a result, you may notice subtle restoration marks on the inner bowl or the outer body of your sink. This is common to all genuine natural-stone products, and it is the signature of real marble rather than a man-made imitation.

Natural marble also varies enormously in background tone and vein pattern. If you are sensitive to the pits, fissures, and visible restoration marks of natural stone, or to differences in base color and the unpredictability of veining, please purchase with care.

We show you this honest spread of pieces on purpose. If you order two for a double-vanity, the pair you receive may look like any of the individuals in the collage above — the base tone and veining cannot be predicted, and opening the carton has a little of the thrill of opening a mystery box. If you can embrace the unknown that comes with something genuinely rare and one-of-a-kind, this sink is for you. If unpredictability is not what you want from a fixture, we gently ask you to consider carefully before ordering.

Dimensions at a glance.

Dimension diagram of Olive Black marble oval vessel sink: 600x400mm footprint, 115mm basin depth, 45mm drain, 25mm walls.

The exterior footprint is 23.6 × 15.7 inches (600 × 400 mm) with a 5.9-inch (150 mm) overall height, sized to sit comfortably on most standard 24-inch-and-wider vanities. The usable bowl opening is 21.6 × 13.7 inches (550 × 350 mm), and the basin sinks 4.5 inches (115 mm) deep. The drain bore is 1.75 inches (45 mm), set within a 2.6-inch (66 mm) finished recess — a standard size that pairs with common U.S. pop-up vessel drains. Plan your faucet height around the 5.9-inch rim so the spout clears the basin edge.

One sink, many design languages.

Collage of an Olive Black marble oval vessel sink styled across six bathroom looks, from industrial to coastal and glam interiors.

This collage gathers six very different rooms around the same Olive Black basin: a concrete-and-steel industrial vanity, a pared-back Scandinavian setup in pale stone, a blush-plaster powder room with warm copper, a glamorous Calacatta-and-gold suite, a sun-washed coastal scheme over travertine, and a warm oak vanity styled for quiet, everyday calm. The takeaway for designers is simple — a deep matte-black oval reads as a sculptural anchor in nearly any palette, grounding light schemes and adding depth to dark ones. For dozens more room references, browse the full image gallery higher on this page; each scene is shot to help you picture the sink in your own space.

A coordinated stone story for a shared bathroom.

Two Olive Black marble oval vessel sinks paired with textured Snow Mountain White wall tile and polished Carrara gray floor tile.

Here a pair of Olive Black basins rests on a floating stone shelf, framed by two soft-edged mirrors and matte-black wall-mounted taps. The walls are clad in textured Snow Mountain White 12×24 FS textured marble wall tile, whose tactile relief catches the light and keeps a near-monochrome room from feeling flat. Underfoot, the scheme is grounded by polished 12×24 Carrara Gray marble floor tile, whose cool gray movement bridges the white walls and the black basins. It is a restrained, architectural pairing — three tones of natural stone, no competing color — that lets the carved black ovals stay the focal point.

Soft minimalism with quiet vertical rhythm.

An Olive Black marble oval vessel sink with fluted Snow Mountain White textured wall tile and matching honed white stone accessories.

In this single-basin vignette, the wall wears the fine vertical fluting of Snow Mountain White 12×24 OL textured marble wall tile, a subtle linear texture that adds height and shadow without shouting. The floor is laid in polished Snow Mountain White 12×24 marble floor tile, keeping the base bright and seamless so the black oval reads as a single dark gesture against white. On the counter sit a soap dish and a lidded storage jar — perfect for bath salts or cotton pads — drawn from our Snow Mountain White honed marble 6-piece bathroom accessory set. We offer four different 6-piece accessory sets across the store, and every piece can be grouped together or used separately, exactly as your countertop calls for.

Geometry that flatters a sculptural basin.

An Olive Black marble oval vessel sink against a Snow Mountain White hexagon textured wall tile, styled with honed white stone accessories.

Against a wall of hexagon Snow Mountain White OL textured marble wall tile, the three-dimensional honeycomb relief plays beautifully off the smooth, rounded body of the Olive Black oval — hard angles meeting soft curves, matte white meeting matte black. The toothbrush holder and toothpaste holder staged here belong to the same honed Snow Mountain White marble vanity accessory collection, so the small countertop pieces share the exact stone language of the wall. It is an easy, repeatable formula for designers: a textured white wall, one dark stone basin, and a few honed accessories to tie the surfaces together.

Engineered packaging, because stone is unforgiving.

Protective foam-mold packaging for an Olive Black marble vessel sink, encasing the basin before its boxed carton shipment.

A hand-carved marble basin is heavy and brittle at its edges, so it ships inside a custom-molded foam shell rather than loose padding. As the steps show, the sink is seated into a fitted foam base, wrapped by a foam frame that hugs its sides, capped with a top foam layer, and then sealed into a sturdy outer carton. This cradle-from-every-side approach absorbs shock in transit and protects the most vulnerable points — the rim and the lower corners. Safety-engineered protective packaging is one of our core commitments, and it is a large part of why this sink can travel from our U.S. warehouse to your door intact.

A beautiful object deserves a careful welcome.
Illustrated unboxing and handling guide for natural marble vessel sinks, recommending two-person lifting to ensure product safety.

Our illustrated unboxing guide walks you through it in three simple moves: open the carton and lift out the top foam layer to reveal the sink; remove the surrounding foam frame to expose the basin fully; then have at least two people lift the sink gently and set it on the foam layer — never directly onto a hard surface, which can scratch or chip the stone. We commission a dedicated step-by-step illustration and a downloadable PDF version (included in this description and again at the bottom of the product page) for a reason: handling a 600 mm hand-carved stone basin should feel considered, not rushed. The care we put into the last three feet of the journey is the same care we put into the carving — and we think the moment you first lift it out should reflect that.

Frequently Asked Questions

How is this vessel sink installed?
This is an above-counter vessel sink — it sits on top of your vanity rather than dropping in. Set it over a 1.75-inch (45 mm) drain hole in the counter, fit a standard U.S. pop-up vessel drain, and pair it with a tall vessel faucet or a wall-mounted spout that clears the 5.9-inch (150 mm) rim. No under-mount cutout is required.

Is this real marble, and are the color and pattern variations normal?
Yes. Each sink is carved from one solid block of 100% natural marble, so every piece has unique veining, tone, and mineral character. Slight differences in base color, vein direction, and density between units are inherent to natural stone and are not defects. If you order two, expect two individual pieces rather than a matched pair.

Why does my sink show small filled spots or marks?
Natural marble forms with pits and hairline fissures over millions of years. After carving, these are filled and stabilized, then the surface is honed to its matte finish, which can leave faint restoration marks. This is standard for genuine carved-stone basins and confirms the material is real marble, not a molded composite.

How do I clean and care for a natural marble basin?
Clean daily with a pH-neutral soap and a soft microfiber cloth, and wipe up spills promptly — especially coffee, wine, citrus, and cosmetics. Avoid acidic or abrasive cleaners such as vinegar, lemon, or bleach, which etch marble. Reseal with a quality stone sealer every 6 to 12 months to guard against staining.

Where does it ship from, and is it well protected?
In-stock units ship from our U.S. warehouse for faster delivery. Each sink travels in a custom-molded foam shell that cradles the bowl on the top, bottom, and sides inside a sturdy carton, protecting the rim and corners through transit. Shipping is included.

What exactly is included?
The vessel sink only. The faucet, pop-up drain, and vanity shown in the images are not included. The tiles and countertop accessories in the styled scenes are separate products, linked above, so you can build a fully coordinated look if you wish.

Each piece is uniquely veined — no two are identical. Color, tone, and pattern variation are inherent to 100% natural marble and celebrate its authenticity.

Important Note on Natural Variations: At Luxury Marble Craft, authenticity is our promise. The photos you see on our website are real images taken directly at our factory, aimed at showing you the true character of the stone.

However, please remember that natural marble is a masterpiece created by the earth, not a machine. Variations in veining, background tone, and texture are celebrated characteristics that make natural stone unique. No two pieces are exactly alike. We hope you embrace these natural variations and enjoy owning a piece of the earth that is exclusively yours.

Please Note: Because these are inherent traits of natural stone, returns based on dissatisfaction with specific veining, color shades, or natural textures are classified as "Standard Returns." If you require absolute uniformity or cannot accept these natural variations, we kindly advise you to purchase with caution.

Return Conditions:

  • Eligibility: Items must be returned in their original condition and packaging.

  • Return Shipping: The customer is responsible for return shipping costs to our designated US facility.

  • Restocking Fee: A 20% restocking fee will be deducted from your refund. This covers the labor cost of unboxing, inspecting, and repacking the heavy stone to ensure it's safe for the next customer.

  • Process:

    1. Contact us at LMC@luxurymarblecraft.com to request a Return Authorization and the correct return address. (Note: Please do not send your purchase back without contacting us first.)

    2. Ship the item back using a trackable service.

    3. Once received and inspected (to confirm no damage), we will process your refund minus the 20% fee.

3. Refund Processing

  • Inspection & Approval: Once your return is received and inspected at our warehouse, we will send you an email to notify you that we have received your returned item. We will also notify you of the approval or rejection of your refund based on the item's condition.

  • Processing Time: If your return is approved, your refund will be processed immediately. A credit will automatically be applied to your credit card or original method of payment within 5-10 business days (depending on your bank's processing time).

Late or Missing Refunds: If you haven’t received a refund after 10 business days, please follow these steps:

  1. Check your bank account again.

  2. Contact your credit card company; it may take some time before your refund is officially posted.

  3. Contact your bank. There is often some processing time before a refund is posted.

  4. If you’ve done all of this and you still have not received your refund yet, please contact us at LMC@luxurymarblecraft.com.

4. Non-Refundable Items & Exceptions

Please note that the following situations are exempt from refunds:

  • User-Caused Damage: Any item not in its original condition, that is damaged or missing parts for reasons not due to our error.

  • Final Sale Items: Only regular-priced items may be refunded. Unfortunately, items marked as "Final Sale" or "Clearance" cannot be refunded.
