Carrara Gray Natural Marble Vessel Sink, Wavy Peanut Shape, Honed Finish, Block-Carved, 23.6x14.2xH7.1 inches/600x360xH180 mm

SKU: W1696P333270
The Carrara Gray Natural Marble Vessel Sink is a single-piece above-counter basin block-carved from a solid block, measuring 23.6 × 14.2 × 7.1 inches (600 × 360 × 180mm) with a 1.75-inch (45mm) drain opening. The sculptural wavy peanut silhouette is shaped from one continuous block of stone — no seams, no resin reconstitution, no cast composites — and finished by hand to a soft honed surface that diffuses light rather than reflecting it. Because each unit is carved from its own raw marble block, the base color shifts between light gray and blue gray, and veining patterns vary in direction, density, and mineral content — no two sinks are ever identical, and minor pinhole repairs are inherent to all authentic natural stone.
Vessel Sink Only: Faucet, pop-up drain, and vanity are NOT included.

The Carrara Gray Natural Marble Wavy Vessel Sink is a single-piece above-counter basin block-carved from a solid slab of 100% authentic Carrara gray marble. Each unit measures 23.6 inches long, 14.2 inches wide, and 7.1 inches tall (600 × 360 × 180mm), with a 1.75-inch (45mm) drain opening sized for standard US pop-up assemblies. The peanut-silhouette form is sculpted from a single block — no seams, no resin reconstitution, no cast composites — and finished by hand to a soft honed surface that diffuses light rather than reflecting it.

This vessel sink belongs to the category of natural stone above-counter basins designed for vanity-top installation. Its wavy, double-lobed silhouette borrows from the art sculptural tradition while reading distinctly contemporary, placing it at home in everything from Japandi master baths to brutalist powder rooms. The honed finish requires resealing every 6 to 12 months with a penetrating stone sealer to maintain stain resistance.

A Frank Conversation About Natural Marble — Please Read Before Ordering
Twelve individual Carrara gray marble vessel sinks shown from side and top views, demonstrating unique natural veining variations across each block-carved piece.

Twelve sinks, twelve completely different stones. The grid above shows twelve real units pulled directly from our production line — same mold, same finish, same dimensions, but no two share the same fingerprint. This is the honest truth of working with quarried marble: the stone arrives as a raw block, and our craftsmen carve into whatever geology nature delivered.

A few things we want you to understand clearly before adding this sink to your cart:

Pinholes and hairline fissures are part of natural marble. Every block of Carrara gray contains naturally occurring micro-pores and surface fissures formed over millions of years of geological compression. After we carve each vessel from its raw block, our workshop performs a careful repair pass — filling pinholes and stabilizing fissures with color-matched stone resin — and only then completes the final honing. This means most units will show faint repair traces on either the interior basin or the exterior wall. These are not defects. They are evidence that you are looking at real stone, not a printed surface.

Carrara gray is one of the most chromatically active marbles on the market.
The base color ranges from soft light gray to deep blue gray. Veining appears in many registers: thick charcoal lines, fine white capillaries, sweeping linear bands, clouded swirls, crystalline pockets, and occasional warm yellow mineral specks. Every variation visible in the grid above is normal, accepted, and celebrated by stone professionals.

If unpredictable color, veining direction, repaired pinholes, or visible fissures will disappoint you, this is not the right product for your project.
The grid above is the most honest preview we can give you — zoom in, study the differences, and ask yourself whether you can fall in love with whatever piece nature delivers to your door.
Multiple Carrara gray marble vessel sinks in side, top and angled views displaying natural color and pattern variations across individual units.

Nine more individual units, photographed from multiple angles — side profile, top view, and three-quarter perspective. We're showing you these not to repeat ourselves, but because the side view reveals something the overhead shot cannot: how veining travels around the exterior wall of each vessel, often in completely different directions from the interior basin pattern. If you plan to install two of these sinks for a his-and-hers double vanity, please understand that your pair will not match. The sensation closest to it is opening a blind box — exciting for collectors of natural materials, frustrating for buyers expecting visual symmetry. We say this plainly, in advance, so that no one is disappointed after delivery. If matched symmetry is essential to your design, we sincerely ask you to reconsider before checkout.

Exact Dimensions and Installation Specifications

Detailed dimensions of Carrara gray marble vessel sink: 23.6x14.2x7.1 inches (600x360x180mm), 2.6-inch drain hole and 1.75-inch drain opening.

Sink envelope:
23.6 × 14.2 inches at the rim (600 × 360mm), with an overall basin height of 7.1 inches (180mm). The center drain hole measures 1.75 inches (45mm) inside diameter with a 2.6-inch (66mm) outer recess, and the bottom outlet sits at 32mm (±2mm), making this sink directly compatible with standard US pop-up drains. The sink weighs roughly 60 to 64 lbs (27 to 29kg) depending on stone density — solid enough to sit securely on any sealed countertop with a thin bead of silicone around the base.

Single-Sink Styling: One Shape, Six Distinct Moods

Six single-sink bathroom styling variations featuring the Carrara gray marble vessel sink across modern, coastal, tropical and traditional interiors.

The collage above captures six single-sink installations photographed across radically different design languages. What they share is the unmistakable wavy silhouette and the cool gray palette of the marble itself — a stone that acts as a neutral anchor even in highly saturated rooms. Where they diverge is in everything else, and that's the story worth telling.

The top-left frame leans into modern minimalist architecture: black floating vanity, white quartz top, a single matte black faucet, and a backlit LED mirror. Everything operates in a tight tonal range. By contrast, the top-right scene reads as coastal Hamptons — natural oak cabinetry, shiplap-style paneling, brushed nickel hardware, and a styled trio of seashells that softens the geometry into something breezy.

Drop to the middle row: the left frame stages a tropical-modern concrete vanity with a sprawling monstera leaf, an open oak shelf, and a rattan basket of rolled towels. The right frame swings to the opposite end of the mood spectrum — a dark academia library bath with deep emerald walls, a walnut counter, polished brass plumbing, and ambient downlighting that turns the same gray sink into something jewel-like and dramatic.

The bottom row goes intimate: the left frame is an architect's close-up, all matte concrete, integrated mixer, and zero ornament — letting the sculptural form of the sink carry the entire composition. The right frame is the bright Calacatta master — white quartz counter, polished marble backsplash, and a matte black waterfall spout that adds a single graphic line to an otherwise serene space.

Six rooms, six entirely separate vocabularies, one vessel sink. The takeaway is that this form is shape-stable across style — it doesn't impose a mood; it adapts to whatever mood you set.

Double-Sink Styling: When Two Become a Conversation

Six double-sink bathroom styling variations featuring the Carrara gray marble vessel sink across pop-art, industrial, glam and romantic interiors.

This second collage shifts the lens to twin installations — the kind of his-and-hers, parents'-suite, or shared-guest-bath configuration where two sinks live side by side on a single counter. The aesthetic range here is even wider than the single-sink set.

The top-left frame is unapologetically maximalist pop art — high-gloss yellow cabinetry, Klein-blue tall faucets, and a pink-blue-yellow checkerboard backsplash that turns a bathroom into a Memphis-era playground. Directly opposite, the top-right composition is industrial loft minimalism: charcoal cabinetry with mesh-grille doors, blackened concrete walls, and matte black single-handle faucets — the kind of space that feels like a converted gallery rather than a bathroom.

The middle row presents a tonal whiplash. On the left, a modern glam overhead shows the two sinks from above on a white Carrara-veined counter with brushed gold faucets and a small tray of perfume bottles — a styled tabletop straight from a luxury hotel suite. On the right is the boldest scene of the set: a Memphis-revival statement bath with vertical stripes, terrazzo confetti, primary-color geometric blocks, and red and blue faucets that turn plumbing into sculpture.

The bottom row closes with two crowd favorites. The left frame, a coquette romantic powder room, pairs the gray sinks with rose-gold swan-neck faucets, heart-shaped mirrors, blush walls, and a vase of peonies. The right frame, a mid-century walnut vanity with vertical fluted fronts, slate-gray counter, and matte black waterfall faucets, demonstrates how easily this sink slips into 1960s-inspired interiors.

A Small Designer's Note Before You Keep Scrolling

Six radically different single-sink rooms. Six even more contradictory double-sink scenes. One shape carrying all of them. Whatever direction your creativity travels — minimalist or maximalist, serene or theatrical, traditional or post-modern — this wavy silhouette adapts without losing its identity. And remember, every sink you receive will be its own unique geological artifact: a different swirl, a different vein, a different story. That singularity is the feature, not the footnote. It does not affect the sink's ability to feel inevitable in whatever style of single or double bath you are building.

For more inspiration, please carefully browse the additional scene reference images in the product gallery area located above the detailed description — whether your project calls for one sink or a pair, those images will help your imagination land.

Pairing With the Wider Luxury Marble Craft Collection

Two Carrara gray marble vessel sinks paired with matching 12x24 polished gray marble floor and snow mountain white textured wall tiles.

The scene above shows the wavy vessel sink installed as a double configuration on a slim charcoal stone shelf, framed by two complete tile surfaces drawn from the same Luxury Marble Craft catalog. The floor is finished in our 12x24 Carrara Gray Polished Marble Tiles — laid in a half-bond running pattern, their reflective polished surface bouncing ambient light upward into the soft, fabric-like wall behind it. The wall is dressed in our 12x24 Snow Mountain White FS Textured Finished Tiles, a quietly tactile surface whose horizontal directional brushing reads almost like raw linen at a distance. Together, the two tile finishes set up a vertical-versus-horizontal dialogue, with the wavy gray sinks acting as sculptural punctuation between them.

This is the kind of fully coordinated stone palette that's increasingly difficult to assemble from big-box retailers, because most catalogs sell sinks and tiles as unrelated SKUs. Specifying the entire surface from one collection saves design hours and removes the guesswork around stone color matching.

Carrara gray marble vessel sink with snow mountain white hexagon textured wall tiles and matching honed marble bathroom accessories.

A second collection-coordinated scene: here the wavy gray sink rests on a white floating shelf, backed by our Snow Mountain White Hexagon OL Textured Finished Marble Tiles — a three-dimensional fluted-hexagon wall surface that catches raking light and projects a quietly architectural pattern across the entire backdrop. The hexagonal geometry softens the rectilinear lines of the counter and mirror, while the textured ridges echo the soft handworked feel of the honed sink finish.

Two small companion pieces sit to the left of the basin — a toothbrush holder and a tumbler cup, drawn from our six-piece Snow Mountain White Natural Marble Bathroom Vanity Set. The full set includes six coordinated accessories that can be styled together as a complete vignette or split between vanity, shower niche, and powder-room shelf as separate gestures. Mixing the same stone in both architectural surfaces and small functional objects is what makes a marble bath feel curated rather than assembled.

Engineered to Survive the Long Journey

Seven-step protective packaging for Carrara gray marble vessel sink: EPE foam cradle, edge reinforcement, stretch wrap and corrugated outer carton.

Shipping a 60-pound carved stone basin across the continental US is frankly the single hardest engineering problem in our business. The packaging diagram above shows our protective system, refined over many shipping cycles until our recorded breakage rate dropped below 1%.

Stage one:
the sink is set onto a custom-cut EPE pearl-cotton base whose recess mirrors the exact wavy footprint of the basin — preventing any lateral slide during transit. Stage two: a wraparound EPE collar wraps the entire perimeter, absorbing edge impacts. Stage three: a second internal foam liner cradles the inverted form. Stage four: the final five-layer corrugated outer carton, double-walled at the corners. Compare this to the single-layer cardboard typical of marketplace listings, and the protection differential is obvious.

This level of packaging investment is one of the structural advantages of buying directly from Luxury Marble Craft, we engineer the package itself so that what arrives at your door is the sink we shipped, intact. Shipped from our US warehouse for faster domestic delivery.

Unboxing — Yes, There's a Right Way to Open Your Sink
Step-by-step unboxing and handling guide for natural marble vessel sinks, emphasizing gentle placement and two-person lifting for safety.

Beautiful objects deserve a careful first encounter. The illustrated unboxing guide above outlines the three-step protocol we developed after observing how many natural-stone sinks get damaged in the final 60 seconds before installation — not in transit, but during eager unboxing.

Step one: open the carton from the top and lift the upper foam cap straight up. Resist the temptation to flip the box. Step two: remove the protective foam collar surrounding the rim before any attempt to lift the sink. Step three — and this matters: at least two adults are required to lift the vessel. Place hands under both lobes, lift with a controlled rise, and set the sink onto its foam pad first, never directly onto a hard counter or tile floor where a single hairline contact can chip the rim.

Why we design this Digital Unboxing Guide, the little gestures like this are how we try to express the values behind Luxury Marble Craft: thoughtful engineering, respect for the material, and respect for the buyer's experience from checkout to installed final.

Frequently Asked Questions

Q1: Are the pinholes, hairline fissures, and visible repair marks on this marble vessel sink considered defects?
A: No — these are inherent characteristics of 100% natural Carrara gray marble, not manufacturing flaws. Every block contains naturally occurring pinholes and micro-fissures formed across millions of years. Our workshop fills and stabilizes them with color-matched stone resin before the final honing pass, so faint repair traces remain visible on most units. This is normal for all authentic block-carved stone basins.

Q2: If I order two sinks for a double vanity, will they match in color and veining?
A: No, and we want to be transparent about this. Each vessel is hand-carved from a separate raw marble block, so base color may shift from dove gray to storm gray, and veining patterns vary in direction, density, and mineral content between units. Buying two sinks creates a curated, gallery-style pairing rather than a mirrored set. If perfect symmetry matters, please reconsider before ordering.

Q3: How do I install this Carrara gray vessel sink on my existing vanity?
A: This is an above-counter vessel sink designed for vanity-top installation over a pre-drilled 1.75-inch (45mm) drain hole. Apply a thin silicone bead around the base, set the sink with both hands, and connect to a standard US pop-up drain — no adapters required.

Q4: How do I clean and maintain a honed natural marble vessel sink?
A: Wipe daily with a pH-neutral stone cleaner and a soft microfiber cloth. Strictly avoid acidic substances — vinegar, lemon juice, bleach, and most bathroom sprays will etch the surface permanently. Reseal the marble every 6 to 12 months using a penetrating stone sealer to maintain stain resistance. Blot spills like coffee, wine, and cosmetics within minutes to prevent absorption.

Q5: How is this 60-pound marble sink protected during shipping, and where does it ship from?
A: Each sink ships from our US warehouse for faster domestic delivery, packaged in a protective system: custom-cut EPE pearl cotton base, wraparound foam collar, industrial stretch wrap, and a double-walled five-layer corrugated outer carton. This engineered packaging has reduced our breakage rate to under 1% across thousands of shipments.

Q6: Can I order matching marble tiles and accessories to coordinate with this sink?
A: Yes — this vessel sink is part of the wider Luxury Marble Craft collection. Coordinated pairings include different sizes Carrara Gray Marble Tiles,  for the full collection, please check all Carrara Gray items.

2. Standard Returns (Change of Mind & Natural Variations)

We want you to love your purchase. However, if you decide the item isn't the right fit for your space, we accept returns under the specific conditions below.

Important Note on Natural Variations: At Luxury Marble Craft, authenticity is our promise. The photos you see on our website are real images taken directly at our factory, aimed at showing you the true character of the stone.

However, please remember that natural marble is a masterpiece created by the earth, not a machine. Variations in veining, background tone, and texture are celebrated characteristics that make natural stone unique. No two pieces are exactly alike. We hope you embrace these natural variations and enjoy owning a piece of the earth that is exclusively yours.

Please Note: Because these are inherent traits of natural stone, returns based on dissatisfaction with specific veining, color shades, or natural textures are classified as "Standard Returns." If you require absolute uniformity or cannot accept these natural variations, we kindly advise you to purchase with caution.

Return Conditions:

  • Eligibility: Items must be returned in their original condition and packaging.

  • Return Shipping: The customer is responsible for return shipping costs to our designated US facility.

  • Restocking Fee: A 20% restocking fee will be deducted from your refund. This covers the labor cost of unboxing, inspecting, and repacking the heavy stone to ensure it's safe for the next customer.

  • Process:

    1. Contact us at LMC@luxurymarblecraft.com to request a Return Authorization and the correct return address. (Note: Please do not send your purchase back without contacting us first.)

    2. Ship the item back using a trackable service.

    3. Once received and inspected (to confirm no damage), we will process your refund minus the 20% fee.

3. Refund Processing

  • Inspection & Approval: Once your return is received and inspected at our warehouse, we will send you an email to notify you that we have received your returned item. We will also notify you of the approval or rejection of your refund based on the item's condition.

  • Processing Time: If your return is approved, your refund will be processed immediately. A credit will automatically be applied to your credit card or original method of payment within 5-10 business days (depending on your bank's processing time).

Late or Missing Refunds: If you haven’t received a refund after 10 business days, please follow these steps:

  1. Check your bank account again.

  2. Contact your credit card company; it may take some time before your refund is officially posted.

  3. Contact your bank. There is often some processing time before a refund is posted.

  4. If you’ve done all of this and you still have not received your refund yet, please contact us at LMC@luxurymarblecraft.com.

4. Non-Refundable Items & Exceptions

Please note that the following situations are exempt from refunds:

  • User-Caused Damage: Any item not in its original condition, that is damaged or missing parts for reasons not due to our error.
